I just had to gush...

Soooo, I don't have much time, but i just HAD to say how amazing my wonderfully fantastic boyfriend is :]

he knows i love hockey, and so he got tickets to the AZ vs. LA game on saturday night.

downside, thats the same night of my bestest friend's party. she is coming home from school for the holiday, so we might have to give the tickets to D and E, but its the thought that counts :]

this weekend

I had a fantastic weekend, all thanks to my wonderful friends :]

No school Friday, which is always nice, work that night. My boyfriend Albert came over after work and we hung out with my dad and watched movies til midnight or so. 

Saturday morning i worked from 9-3, finally got out of there at about 3:30 after talking to "the regulars" went home and took a nice hot shower. Picked Albert up from his house and got to M and B's apartment at around 6. I always have a blast over there. We got M, her boyfriend B, then D and her husband E. M and D are Albert's older sisters. Then a couple of D and E's friends came over with their 2 cute kiddies. Me, Albert, M and B made up some margaritas and walked to the hottub where we took some pictures and talked about nothing. Lots of fun.

Came back to the apartment and watched SNATCH, one of Brad Pitts' finer films :]

finished that and M and B went to bed, so albert and i played Gears of War 2 with E and D til about midnight. They go to bed and albert and i are trying to sleep in the living room when all of a sudden, Kayli, their kitty comes running in like a damn ninja. i swear she came out of nowhere and pounced right on my head. it was hilarious! neither of us slept well though thanks to the 3 cats going crazy all night long.

we got up this morning and M and I went to the store to get stuff to make french toast for everybody. after that, we clean up the apartment a little and Albert and i go to the shop to paint some stuff for his engine. it looks really cool, its matte black and a really cool orange color. something like this. but more orange then red...

we stopped back at his house to say hi to his parents and brothers, then go back to the apartment for a gears of war tournament with E and D and their friends. i learned how to play and found out i'm actually kind of good at it! took him home around 10, and i'm ready to crawl into bed. got a group quiz in math tomorrow morning, then work straight after class. mondays are always long days.

hope everyone had a good weekend! i am sooo thankful for my good friends and my amazing boyfriend. you guys keep me sane and grounded, even when life at home is going in a million directions. i love you!!!

Need to vent

Once again, my brother Nick has been caught using drugs. I knew he was up to something about a month ago, but as usual, my parents didnt want to believe me. he admitted to my mom the other night that he has been doing it again. i have 2 theories...

either he told her because he wants help again, or it's because he drained his bank account and knew they would find out anyways. i'm betting on the second one.

he has been to detox and rehab twice, and spent 3 months at a halfway house for teens. obviously none of this helped any. well, i take that back, it didnt help him, but i think it has helped us understand a little better. i have to remember that this is a disease and that he doesnt WANT to be an addict, but at the same time, its hard thinking like that when i know that he was sober at one point and made the conscious decision to start using again. 

i am done blaming his friends, and myself and our parents. this is no one's fault but his own and he needs to man up and take responsibility for his actions. he will either end up dead or in jail. hopefully its the latter. 

mom and dad are going to some meeting with his probation officer today, so hopefully we will know what will happen after that is done. SOMEHOW he has been passing all his drug tests, not sure how, but either way, i'm pretty sure shooting up is breaking probation. 

on a better note:

My good friend M (who also happens to be my boyfriend's sister) and her boyfriend B are buying a house! they are signing papers and everything this weekend, getting the loan all sorted out. congrats guys! cant wait to see it.

sooo, i am very new to this whole blogging thing, seemed like a cool idea. i was just listening to john-jay and rich on the radio. they were doing their "war of the roses" segment which is done every thursday morning. pretty much, a girl thinks her boyfriend or husband or whatever is cheating on her, so she calls up JJ&R and tells them why she thinks he is cheating. then carrie, who is the coolest chick ever and is kinda like the voice of reason and morals on the show, she calls the guy and offers him a dozen red roses to send to whoever he likes. more often then not, he sends them to his mistress. 

welllllll, today said mistress actually answers his cell phone. apparently he left her house in a hurry and forgot his phone. HAHA. so this chick is a TOTAL B!TCH!!!! she is like i know this is you carrie, you are so stupid this whole show is stupid blah blah blah. and wow, i have never heard someone be so mean to people they don't even know. anywayssss, i really hope that the stupid guy and her are happy together, because the sweet girl he was dating doesn't want any part of his crap anymore, so good for you honey!

that was my rant for the morning. LOL hopefully the rest of my day will be good. Planning on turning in an application at Barnes and Noble, hopefully the new one by my house is hiring for the season or something. after that, my good friend k. is coming over to watch our missed episode of GG (gossip girl) *TOTALLY ADDICTED* and that new movie tropic thunder. maybe hanging out with the boyfriend later tonight. maybe i can drag him to the midnight showing of twilight.....hmmm i will let you know how that turns out :]
